$1 million from Kuwait Investment Company to the Emergency Response Fund

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced that the Kuwait Investment Company (KIC) has contributed $1 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, as part of ongoing support from national institutions across various sectors.

In a statement on Thursday, the Fund noted that KIC’s contribution holds special significance due to its status as one of Kuwait’s longstanding investment institutions, with a history spanning more than six decades, thereby strengthening the presence of the investment sector among national entities supporting the Fund.

It emphasized that the participation of national economic institutions in the Emergency Response Fund reflects the extension of their role beyond commercial and investment activities, through contributions to initiatives that serve the country and enhance its capacity to manage the repercussions of exceptional circumstances, as well as to restore operations in affected facilities and sectors.

Founded in 1961, KIC is the first investment company in Kuwait and the region, boasting over six decades of experience in the financial and investment sectors. Its activities include asset management, fund and portfolio management, direct investments, and the provision of various financial and investment services and solutions.
