Kuwaiti support for the efforts of the new Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation

The Kuwaiti Consul General in Jeddah and Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Yousef Al-Tineeb, affirmed Kuwait’s support for the efforts of the Organization’s new Secretary-General, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, to advance the trajectory of joint Islamic cooperation.
In a statement on Thursday, Kuwait’s Permanent Delegation to the Organization noted that this position was expressed during a meeting held by Al-Tineeb with the new Secretary-General at the Organization’s General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah.
Al-Tineeb conveyed congratulations to the Secretary-General on his election to the post, wishing him success and prosperity in fulfilling his duties, and reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to activating the Organization’s role in serving the issues of the Islamic Ummah and realizing the aspirations of its member states.
