Kuwait Finance House Enhances Children's Awareness of Basic Health Habits and Skills

Al-Salam Hospital and Kuwait Finance House (Bayt Al-Tamwil) have continued their partnership for the second consecutive year within the “Al-Salam Summer Club,” an annual program focused on health and wellness. The initiative aims to introduce children to healthy habits and basic healthcare skills through interactive activities tailored to their age groups, reaffirming both institutions’ firm commitment to enhancing health awareness and community engagement.
This year’s Summer Club was held at Al-Salam Capital Hospital, welcoming approximately 300 children aged between 7 and 12. The program featured a diverse range of activities, including first aid, proper nutrition, physical fitness, and general health, as well as oral and dental care. These activities combined practical learning with age-appropriate applications, making health education more accessible and enjoyable.
Marking the conclusion of this year’s Summer Club, Dr. Raghad Al-Kazemi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Al-Salam Capital Hospital and Director of Al-Salam Ahmadi Hospital, stated: “The Al-Salam Summer Club is an initiative we are particularly proud of. It began over 10 years ago as a summer course teaching children the basics of first aid, and has since evolved into a comprehensive annual program that introduces children to various aspects of health and wellness in an environment that encourages participation, questioning, and experiential learning.”
Dr. Al-Kazemi added: “Our continued collaboration with Bayt Al-Tamwil as a strategic partner enables us to build on the program’s past successes and expand its impact within the community. We share a firm commitment to investing in initiatives that benefit children and families, and we believe that instilling healthy habits and promoting basic healthcare knowledge from an early age can leave a positive and lasting impact.”
The Summer Club is part of Al-Salam Hospitals’ broader commitment to raising health awareness among children, alongside other initiatives such as the “Little Health Heroes” program. This year-round initiative welcomes children from various schools across Kuwait to visit several medical departments at Al-Salam Capital Hospital and Al-Salam Ahmadi Hospital, and to participate in interactive activities designed to introduce them to health and wellness concepts from a young age.
