Kuwait University to Host "Energy Research and Development" Conference in November

Kuwait University announced it will host the Ninth International Conference on Energy Research and Development from November 17 to 19 next year at the Conference Center in the Sabah Al-Salem City campus, with the participation of a select group of experts, specialists, and academics from within Kuwait and abroad.
In a statement on Wednesday, Dr. Osama Al-Yousef, Acting Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the university and Chairman of the Conference’s Supreme Organizing Committee, said the conference will involve local and international entities, with support from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and in collaboration with the College of Engineering and Petroleum. He noted that 50 scientific papers had been peer-reviewed and accepted for presentation at the conference.
Al-Yousef clarified that the conference sessions and workshops will cover several key themes, including the future of renewable energy and its role in supporting sustainability, energy conservation and conversion, the future of energy and the environment, and air conditioning and refrigeration systems, alongside other topics related to the future of the energy sector.
