Firefighting teams managed to control a fire that broke out in the residential complex, with no human casualties reported.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and rejection of the malicious Iranian attacks using missiles and enemy drones that targeted several sites in the country early Wednesday, including a residential complex, in a blatant violation of its sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability.
The ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and interests, and ensure the safety of its people and residents on its territory, in accordance with international law.
For his part, the official spokesperson for the General Fire Force, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, announced that firefighting teams managed early Wednesday to control a fire that broke out in a residential complex in one of the capital’s districts after it was targeted by an enemy drone launched by the malicious Iranian aggression.
In a media statement, Brigadier General Al-Gharib said that the Al-Hilali and Al-Madina central fire teams immediately began responding to the fire upon arrival at the scene, completing suppression and control operations. He confirmed that no human casualties were recorded and that losses were limited to material damage.
The General Staff of Armed Forces, in a statement, noted that the sounds of explosions heard were the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks. It called on everyone to comply with safety and security instructions issued by the competent authorities.
