Al-Jalahma emphasizes the importance of strengthening Gulf cooperation to develop youth capacities

Kuwait’s Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, affirmed the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in the youth and sports sectors, in order to develop young people’s capacities and strengthen their participation in the development process.
This statement was made by Minister Al-Jalahma in an interview with the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the sidelines of his participation in the 39th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Youth and Sports, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the chairmanship of Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, with the participation of GCC Secretary-General Jassem Al-Bedawi.
Minister Al-Jalahma expressed his gratitude to the brotherly leadership, government, and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain for their generous hospitality and warm reception, praying to Almighty God that the path of excellence and success continues in the GCC member states.
He added that a partnership with the private sector had been approved to invest in youth initiatives, thereby enhancing young people’s skills and capacities across the GCC countries.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Minister Al-Jalahma honored several young individuals. The honors included the Al-Farsi Kite Team in the Community Initiatives category, as well as Yusuf Al-Husseini and Zaina Al-Muwaini in the Honored Youth category, in recognition of their contributions and excellence in the youth field.
Minister Al-Jalahma urged the honored individuals to continue their dedication and excellence, and to encourage their peers among young people to participate, take initiative, and contribute to serving their communities.
