Approval of the Educational Calendar Update: Addition of Examination Dates for the Fourth and Fifth Grades

The Minister of Education, Engineer Jalal Al-Tabatabai, issued a decision to amend the educational calendar for the academic years 2026/2027, 2027/2028, 2028/2029, and 2029/2030, in general education schools, religious education schools, adult education and literacy programs, special education schools, and private Arabic schools, in accordance with the provisions specified in the attachments to the ministerial decision issued on this matter.
The Ministry of Education clarified that the new amendments are part of its ongoing efforts to update and organize the educational calendar in line with recent developments in educational regulations and systems, ensuring clarity of dates and deadlines for school administrations, educational staff, parents, and students.
The Ministry indicated that the amendments included adding examination dates for the fourth and fifth grades, in accordance with recent approvals under the new Comprehensive Educational Regulatory Framework. This aims to unify and organize procedures related to assessment and examinations, and to enhance the smooth flow of the educational process throughout the academic year.
The Ministry emphasized that the amendment to the educational calendar is part of its efforts to align academic schedules and dates with new regulatory requirements, enabling schools to prepare early for various stages of the academic year and associated educational milestones.
The Ministry also stressed that the decision provides a clear timeframe for the upcoming academic years, supporting advance planning by school administrations and educational staff, enhancing the stability of the educational process, and offering students and parents a clearer picture of academic and examination schedules.
It noted that the decision takes effect from the date of its issuance, and relevant authorities are required to be informed and implement it, with all previous conflicting decisions repealed.
The Ministry called on relevant parties in the educational field to comply with the decision and its attachments, and to implement the amendments according to the approved schedules and dates, ensuring the smooth operation of the educational process and achieving the desired regulatory objectives.
