Oil rises amid growing fears of supply disruptions

Oil prices rose, continuing the previous session’s surge, as fears mounted over supply disruptions following overnight military strikes, dispelling hopes of a rapid de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East.

Both contracts jumped by more than $4 on Tuesday, posting the largest gains for Brent since July 24 and for West Texas Intermediate crude since July 23.
