Peru severs ties with Iran, accusing it of escalating conflicts and obstructing navigation

Peru announced the severance of its diplomatic relations with Iran, accusing the country of escalating conflicts in the Middle East and obstructing navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that “the government has decided to cut diplomatic ties with Iran, in line with Peru’s historic peaceful approach.”
