Kuwait Customs Participates in the 18th Meeting of the Executive Council of the Gulf Customs Union in Manama

The meeting, chaired by Ahmed Al-Jamal, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Gulf Customs Union Authority and Chairman of the General Customs Authority of the State of Qatar, discussed a number of agenda items, foremost among them the latest developments regarding the completion of the requirements for the Customs Union.

The meeting reviewed the work of the specialized technical committees and working groups, which support the progress of Gulf customs integration and enhance coordination and joint cooperation among the GCC member states. It also discussed a number of initiatives and projects aimed at developing customs systems and procedures, improving the efficiency of joint operations, facilitating intra-GCC trade and the flow of goods among member states, in line with their aspirations toward a more integrated and efficient Gulf customs system.

The participation of the General Customs Authority comes within the framework of Kuwait’s commitment to actively contributing to the development of Gulf customs operations and strengthening joint efforts to complete the requirements of the Customs Union and achieve its desired objectives.
