Two matches to conclude the second stage of the Zain League

The second stage of the Zain Premier League football competition concludes on Tuesday with two matches: Kazma faces Sahel, while Al-Salmiya takes on Al-Tadamon.

Both matches carry a competitive edge. Kazma aims to maintain its strong start from the opening round, following its 3-1 victory over Al-Tadamon, as well as its away win against Sahel, who defeated Salibikhaet 1-0.

In the second match, Al-Salmiya seeks to regroup after its 2-1 loss to Al-Nasr, while Al-Tadamon is also looking to bounce back after its defeat to Kazma.

Kazma enters its clash with Sahel with a full squad under the guidance of Croatian coach Dragan Tadich, who has been retained from last season. Tadich has made significant changes to most of the team’s foreign players, signing German Torlies Knoll, Senegalese Amat Ndiaw, and Brazilian Patrick Robson. He also renewed the contracts of Yemeni Nasser Mohammed and Algerian Idris Shaabi, and added international players Fahad Al-Hajri and Ahmed Al-Zanki from Al-Kuwait Club.

The team performed well in its opening match against Al-Tadamon, particularly through its international star Shuaib Al-Khaldi, who delivered an outstanding performance that earned him the title of Best Player of the Round.

On the other side, Ali Abdulridha, the national coach of “Abu Halifa’s Sons” (Al-Salmiya), leads the team. He previously guided the club to promotion to the Premier League and has delivered impressive results, especially since the squad recently signed five Brazilian players.

Meanwhile, Al-Salmiya aims to overcome its opening-round defeat to Al-Nasr. Club President Sheikh Turki Al-Yousef has been present at daily training sessions to boost the players’ morale and support their efforts to return strongly and compete effectively.

Conversely, Al-Tadamon will not be an easy opponent, as they are also seeking a quick home victory and aiming to correct the mistakes evident in their opening-round match.

The technical staff of Al-Tadamon, led by Bosnian coach Igor Remeš, are intensifying their preparations for the match against Al-Salmiya, with serious efforts underway to rectify errors and reorganize the team’s tactical setup on the pitch. Remeš has closely assessed the capabilities of his new foreign players during the previous match and is striving to utilize the full potential of the club’s new quintet in the best possible manner. Having familiarized himself with their levels and tactical roles on the field, he is focusing on integrating French player Zakaria Suleiman, Syrian Ahmed Al-Dali, Brazilian Marlon Santos, and Ivorians Deziri Pereira and Abu Bakr Dumbuya.
