Al-Jahra Begins Training Team for “Sustainable Governorate” Initiative

Under the directives of the governors of Al-Jahra and Al-Farwani, and by the appointment of Hamad Al-Hubshi, the Al-Jahra Governorate has launched the first phase of preparing and qualifying the Environmental Sustainability Team, established under the “Sustainable Al-Jahra Governorate” initiative. This was achieved through the team’s participation in a workshop organized by the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs (PAAE) titled “Sustainable Development and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Disclosure Reports,” held at the PAAE headquarters.
The workshop covered the concepts of sustainable development and the mechanisms for preparing environmental, social, and governance disclosure reports, alongside reviewing sustainable environmental practices and ways to enhance institutional work mechanisms in this field. These efforts aim to develop the capacities of team members and strengthen their readiness to carry out their assigned tasks.
This step aligns with Al-Jahra Governorate’s commitment to building a qualified team capable of translating the initiative’s objectives into actionable and measurable work programs, while enhancing cooperation and coordination with the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs and relevant entities, thereby supporting environmental sustainability efforts in the governorate.
