Fawaz Al-Anzi to Al-Rai: Elissa's concert... an exceptional night worth the wait
Producer and musician Shahin Fawaz Al-Anzi confirmed that the highly anticipated concert by Lebanese star Elissa in Kuwait, scheduled for Friday evening, October 2, at the National Theatre within the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, will be among the largest and most spectacular artistic events to take place in Kuwait, marking an exceptional night worthy of the immense anticipation.
Al-Anzi detailed to “Al-Rai” that “this concert was originally planned for April 10 last year, but it was postponed due to the war and regional developments. Now that a new date has been set, we are working with full capacity to ensure that this night meets the high expectations of the audience.”
He added, “I am delighted that this large-scale concert is being organized in partnership with artist and star Farah Al-Sarraf through our company, Music Icon. This partnership is special because Farah is, in fact, one of Elissa’s biggest fans and admirers of her art. Consequently, this passion and deep affection will clearly reflect in the concert and all its details, from selection and organization to production, ensuring a night that befits Elissa and her fans.”
He continued, “We aim to deliver a concert that embodies the highest quality, not just a fleeting musical event. Therefore, great attention is being paid to the finest details, given that we are dealing with an artist who has a long history and a large following in Kuwait.”
He further noted, “This concert also marks the first time the audience at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre meets the ‘Queen of Sensation,’ who will make her debut performance at the National Theatre since the centre’s opening. She will present a musical evening featuring a large orchestra under the direction of the distinguished maestro Hani Farhat, who is always keen on delivering a professional orchestra with a distinct musical sound. This will add a unique artistic dimension to the evening and elevate the musical experience to a level befitting Elissa’s name and status.”
Regarding the songs she will perform, Al-Anzi clarified, “I am certain that the audience will be treated to a selection of her most beautiful and famous songs, both old and new. There is careful attention to ensuring the setlist suits Kuwaiti audiences and caters to diverse tastes, especially since they have been anticipating this appearance for a long time.”
