The Road to Housing Projects.. Paved

The Public Authority for Housing Progress pushed the “Real Estate Developer” project a step forward by announcing the qualification of 22 consortia comprising 41 Kuwaiti and international companies to participate in the next phase of procedures for launching three major housing projects. This move aims to strengthen partnership with the private sector and accelerate the pace of implementing integrated housing projects across the country.

Ahmed Al-Ansari, Acting Deputy Managing Director for Investment and Private Sector Projects at the Authority, stated that the qualification of these consortia is in implementation of the Cabinet’s directives, aimed at accelerating the execution procedures of housing projects and enhancing partnership with the private sector within the established legal and technical frameworks.

He clarified that this step contributes to the development of integrated housing projects that meet citizens’ needs and align with the state’s objectives in urban development. He noted that the qualification results led to the qualification of six consortia for the Matlaa City project (M-3), eight consortia for the East Saad Al-Abdullah City project (ESA-1), and eight others for the West Saad Al-Abdullah City and the Jaber Al-Ahmad City service axis project (WSA-1 + J-1).

He pointed out that the qualified consortia include 27 Kuwaiti companies and 14 international companies, reflecting the keen interest of local and global firms in participating in the housing and development projects implemented by the Authority. This underscores the seriousness of the private sector in contributing to the execution of high-quality projects in the country.

He affirmed the Authority’s commitment to applying the highest standards of transparency, efficiency, and competitiveness across all stages of project launching and implementation, in accordance with the highest technical and financial standards. He explained that these efforts are part of the Authority’s direction toward activating public-private partnerships and leveraging local and international expertise and competencies in executing housing projects, thereby supporting the provision of housing care for citizens in line with best practices and standards.
