Dar Maken Continues Its Activities in Awareness, Training, and Empowerment

Makin House, affiliated with the National Cancer Awareness Campaign “Kan,” continued its diverse activities and initiatives throughout the summer, coinciding with a rise in the number of cancer patients and survivors joining its ranks. In line with its commitment to offering programs that combine awareness, rehabilitation, and empowerment, the house works to strengthen the psychological, social, and skill-based aspects of its participants.

Dr. Iman Al-Shamari, Chairperson of the Makin Club Committee, stated that the house’s activities include individual counseling sessions, religious and faith-based lectures focused on hope in God and strengthening trust in Him, as well as artistic and training workshops such as painting, plaster crafting, and coloring, with participation from female survivors affiliated with the Makin Club.

She clarified that the artistic workshops went beyond mere entertainment, contributing to boosting participants’ morale and giving them a sense of achievement, productivity, and contribution. They also helped participants discover their talents and abilities, thereby enhancing their self-confidence.

Al-Shamari explained that Makin House aims to train, empower, and rehabilitate cancer patients and survivors through awareness and skills-based programs that help them harness their energies and reintegrate into society as active and productive members. She emphasized that the house is open to every cancer patient and survivor.

Al-Shamari called on patients and survivors to participate in the house’s programs, reaffirming the continuity of its activities and initiatives. For registration in the Makin Club, interested individuals can contact the number 65070469.
