Nepal: Flood Death Toll Rises to 734, with 2,498 Missing

Nepal’s Department of Disaster Management reported on Sunday that the preliminary death toll from devastating floods that swept through northern Nepal, near the border with China, had risen to 734, with 2,498 people still missing.

In China, state media reported that 16 people had died, while 546 remained missing, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disaster to 750 and the total number of missing to 3,044.
