America announces $3.6 million in humanitarian aid for Nepal

The United States announced the provision of $3.6 million in humanitarian aid to Nepal, following floods that struck the Southeast Asian country, killing hundreds and leaving approximately 3,000 people missing.

The U.S. Department of State stated that “the United States stands with the people of Nepal by providing life-saving humanitarian assistance worth more than $3.6 million, including emergency food aid sufficient for up to three months for as many as 10,000 households affected by the floods.”
