222 wanted persons and violators, and 829 traffic violations in Al-Mahbula and As-Suq Al-Qurain

Two operations, the first a broad security campaign conducted by the General Administration of Emergency Police in the Mahboula area of Al-Ahmadi Governorate, and the second a traffic and inspection campaign carried out by the General Administration of Traffic, represented by the Coordination and Follow-up Department, targeting vehicle rental offices in the Aswag Al-Qurain area, resulted in the apprehension of 222 wanted individuals and violators, and the issuance of 829 traffic violations.

Regarding the "Emergency Police" operation in Mahboula, the General Administration of Security Relations and Media at the Ministry of the Interior stated that it took place in the presence of Al-Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, under the direct supervision of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Lieutenant General Hamad Ahmed Al-Munifi, and Head of the Traffic and Operations Sector, Brigadier General Ahmad Fahad Al-Azmi. The operation targeted the apprehension of violators and wanted individuals and the enforcement of the law, as part of continuous field efforts to enhance security.

The administration noted that the operation resulted in the apprehension of 109 individuals wanted on account of criminal and security cases, 62 individuals for expired residency permits, and 31 individuals without proof of identity, in addition to the apprehension of 11 individuals in abnormal conditions and 8 individuals for possession of narcotics and alcoholic beverages.

As for the "Traffic" operation targeting vehicle rental offices in "Aswag Al-Qurain," the Traffic and Operations Sector, via its Instagram account, indicated that it was conducted to verify compliance with the laws, regulations, and controls governing the vehicle rental business.

It was clarified that the operation was led by Colonel Nawaf Ahmed Al-Sabah, Assistant Director General of the General Administration of Traffic for Education and Coordination Affairs. The operation included inspections of several vehicle rental offices, alongside thorough checks of vehicles to ensure they met the applicable requirements and controls.

The General Administration of Traffic emphasized the continuation of traffic and inspection campaigns in various areas to ensure compliance with governing laws and regulations, and to take necessary legal action against violators, thereby contributing to enhanced traffic discipline and the safety of road users.
