September 6: Training course on the developed "Tenth" curriculum
As part of preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year, the Ministry of Education will hold a training session for its educational staff on Sunday, September 6, regarding the developed curriculum for the tenth grade. The ministry has scheduled Sunday and Monday for educational supervisors, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for department heads.
While supervisors and department heads oversee the training of teachers on the developed curriculum, the ministry has postponed training sessions for new teachers until the second week of the new academic year. These sessions will begin on Sunday, September 13, and last for five days: two days dedicated to administrative aspects and three days to technical aspects. The program will introduce new teachers to their key rights and job responsibilities, as well as the regulations and bylaws governing work.
The Educational Supervision Directorate has submitted its requirements for vacancies in the positions of department heads and assistant principals across all educational stages for both boys’ and girls’ schools. This submission includes the number of cases promoted last year and retirement cases in each subject, as part of the annual supervision plan to fill shortages and meet schools’ needs for educational staff.
The Educational Supervision Directorate will issue appointment decisions for successful candidates for educational supervisory positions—such as department head, assistant principal, principal, and educational supervisor—during the first weeks of the academic year for teachers. This will occur once the vision is clearer, following the implementation of transfer decisions, the stabilization of the educational process, and the commencement of teachers’ duties at their new workplaces.
Additionally, the directorate will determine the actual need for non-Kuwaiti teaching staff after national personnel are distributed to educational districts and begin their work across all academic fields. The Educational Supervision Directorate will identify staffing shortages in subjects at each educational stage, while the Educational Affairs Sector, in coordination with the Resources Administration, will issue the annual recruitment announcement for teaching positions in the specialties required by the ministry.
