Al-Jazira (UAE) signs Albanian Asllani

Al-Jazira Club, the Emirati football team, announced on Saturday the signing of Albanian international midfielder Christian Asllani from Italian club Inter Milan on loan, a move reflecting the team’s ambitions following a brief period of negotiations.
The club announced the signing of the Albanian player on its official social media account, assigning him the number 23, and stated: “Officially... Abu Dhabi’s pride welcomes Albanian international Christian Asllani, on loan from Inter Milan.”
Asllani’s arrival represents a significant addition to Al-Jazira’s midfield, given the player’s technical abilities and experience in European competitions, having undergone trials at the highest level with one of Italy’s most prominent football clubs.
The 24-year-old Asllani has emerged in recent years as one of the promising talents in Albanian football before moving to Inter Milan, where he competed in strong contests in the Italian league and European tournaments.
He has also established himself as a key option for the Albanian national team, benefiting from his ability to play as a central midfielder, along with his skills in building play, passing, and movement without the ball—attributes that enable him to perform multiple roles in the midfield.
The deal gives Al-Jazira’s coaching staff a new option in the midfield area, as Asllani possesses technical and physical characteristics that help him fulfill defensive duties and contribute to rapid transitions from defense to attack.
The club hopes the player will make an impactful contribution during the season, and that his European experience will enhance the team’s quality and strengthen its competitiveness at the domestic level.
The signing of Asllani is part of Al-Jazira’s efforts to bolster its squad with players capable of making a difference, as part of the club’s strategy to regain its strong presence in the local scene and compete for top positions and titles.
The deal has attracted considerable attention, as it brings together one of the leading Emirati clubs and a player from a prestigious European football tradition, making Asllani’s experience in the UAE Pro League a focal point of interest for Al-Jazira fans and followers.
Al-Jazira began its new season with victories in the first two rounds of the ADNOC Pro League, defeating Hatta 2-0 in the opening match and the Sharjah club by the same scoreline in the second round.
