Deputy Foreign Minister Meets Foreign Ministers of Guinea-Bissau and Bangladesh, and Secretary-General of the OIC

Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Hamad Al-Mushaan met individually in Jeddah with Fatoumata Jalloh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Communities Abroad of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau; Humaun Kabir, State Minister for External Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; and Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement today that these meetings took place on the sidelines of the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, held at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah, to discuss developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.

It added that during Ambassador Al-Mushaan’s meeting with the Guinea-Bissau Foreign Minister, the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries were reviewed, and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields were discussed.

Similarly, during his meeting with the State Minister for External Affairs of Bangladesh, the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries were reviewed, and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields were discussed, in addition to exchanging views on issues of mutual interest.

During his meeting with Sheikh Ahmed, Ambassador Al-Mushaan congratulated him on his election as Secretary-General of the OIC, wishing him success and prosperity in carrying out his duties. He also reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to continuing its support for the OIC and strengthening its role in serving the causes of the Islamic world.
