The Presidency appoints Maazub Abdi as an advisor

The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported in the early hours of Friday that President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued a decree appointing Mazloum Abdi, the former commander of the disbanded Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) led by Kurds, as a presidential advisor. Abdi announced on Tuesday the dissolution of the SDF as an independent military force, a significant step in a merger plan agreed earlier this year with the Islamist-led government in Damascus.
