“Al-Islehah” hosts the “Beginner’s Course” to provide legal educational programs for youth
Abdulaziz Al-Yaqoot, Deputy Head of the Da’wah and Islamic Education Sector at the Al-Isalah Social Association, affirmed the sector’s commitment to disseminating Islamic knowledge among youth and adolescents, presenting it in a simplified manner appropriate to their age groups, in collaboration with educational clubs.
Speaking to the press on the occasion of the “Beginner’s Course,” Al-Yaqoot stated that the course is part of the sector’s efforts to provide educational religious programs that help young people build a solid foundation in understanding their faith. He noted that cooperation with educational clubs enables reaching adolescents in an environment that integrates education, upbringing, and interaction.
He explained that the course covered the jurisprudence of ritual purity (taharah) and ablution (wudu), as well as the sunnah practices of ablution, emphasizing the delivery of information in a clear manner closely related to the participants’ reality. He stressed that the selection of these topics is due to their direct relevance to a Muslim’s life and daily acts of worship.
Al-Yaqoot added, “In the Beginner’s Course, we ensured that education was not limited to theoretical aspects; rather, we combined knowledge with practical application, so that the young person learns the Islamic ruling, understands it, and is then able to apply it correctly.”
He pointed out that the course witnessed positive engagement from the youth, describing it as a beautiful educational and upbringing experience. He noted that the practical component contributed to increased interaction and the consolidation of information, opening the floor for participants to ask questions and benefit more.
Al-Yaqoot emphasized that the objective of these programs extends beyond providing religious information; it aims to build a conscious personality grounded in faith, with correct worship, capable of translating what they learn into behavior and practice in their daily lives.
He clarified that the “Beginner’s Course” project represents an important beginning for adolescents on the path of seeking Islamic knowledge, and that the sector is keen on developing such programs and presenting them in a manner that combines Islamic foundations with educational approaches suitable for youth.
Al-Yaqoot appreciated the cooperation of educational clubs and their role in hosting such programs, affirming that synergy between da’wah and educational institutions contributes to reaching young people, enhancing their religious awareness, and instilling Islamic values in their hearts.
He concluded his statement by reiterating the commitment of the Da’wah and Islamic Education Sector to continue offering programs and courses that serve youth and adolescents, contributing to the dissemination of Islamic knowledge in an accessible and beneficial manner, thereby fulfilling the mission of the Al-Isalah Social Association in building a balanced Muslim individual who is beneficial to his society.
