BSK bids farewell to a new batch of its students bound for the world's top universities
Students at The British School in Kuwait (BSK) achieved outstanding results in the international examinations for the 2025–2026 academic year across their Year 11, 12, and 13 levels (IGCSE, AS, and A Level), marking the culmination of years of hard work supported by their teachers and parents.
This year’s results hold particular significance given the exceptional circumstances students faced during the previous academic year, which were accompanied by a period of uncertainty during a critical stage of their education due to regional developments. Despite these challenges, students demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability, maintaining their commitment to their studies to achieve these results.
In Year 11 (GCSE and IGCSE), many students achieved outstanding results, securing a high number of top grades, including Grade 9, which was previously equivalent to an A*. They also performed strongly across a wide range of subjects, positioning them to continue excelling as they progress to Year 12 and begin their advanced studies in the new academic year.
In Year 12, many students achieved the highest grade, an A, in all their AS Level subjects. Some will enroll in universities in Kuwait and abroad during the new academic year, while others will continue their studies in Year 13 at the school to complete their A Levels and gain admission to leading universities worldwide.
In Year 13, students delivered exceptional performance, with some achieving an A* in all their subjects, while many others secured a distinguished mix of A* and A grades across various subjects.
In addition to core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Sciences, the school offers GCSE and IGCSE students a wide choice of subjects, including Astronomy, Information and Communication Technology, Graphic Communication, Photography, and Design and Technology.
This year’s graduates are heading to several prestigious universities around the world, including the University of Connecticut and the University of Pennsylvania in the United States; University College London and the universities of Glasgow, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Durham in the United Kingdom; Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands; the University of Toronto in Canada; and the European University in Spain.
Commenting on the results, School Principal Emma Boyce expressed her pride in the achievements of the Year 11, 12, and 13 students, emphasizing that The British School in Kuwait is proud to offer a broad curriculum of IGCSE, AS, and A Level courses, enabling students to choose subjects that align with their interests, aspirations, and future goals. She noted that it is a source of great joy to see their hard work rewarded with such excellent grades.
For her part, Upper Secondary Phase Head Jane Warren affirmed that the results reflect not only the students’ academic capabilities but also the resilience, maturity, and determination they demonstrated during a year marked by unforeseen challenges. She highlighted their steady handling of uncertainty, their sustained commitment to learning, and their mutual support.
She added that students are moving on to the next stage of their education equipped, alongside their excellent qualifications, with the confidence, adaptability, and resilience needed to face future challenges.
