$2.67 trillion in cryptocurrency value... Bitcoin surpasses $80,000

Cryptocurrencies recorded broad gains, supported by a rise in Bitcoin after it surpassed the $80,000 level, posting weekly gains of nearly 11 percent, while its market capitalization reached approximately $1.59 trillion, amid improved investor risk appetite and renewed momentum in the digital asset market.
According to data from CoinMarketCap, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies rose to around $2.67 trillion, while trading volume over the past 24 hours reached approximately $88.35 billion.
Ethereum surged 10 percent over the week, trading near $2,507, with a market capitalization exceeding $302 billion. Gains were also seen in several other major coins: XRP rose 22.9 percent over the week to $1.42, Solana climbed 19.2 percent to $103.9, Binance Coin increased 9.8 percent to $706.6, and Dogecoin rose 14 percent to $0.088.
The cryptocurrency market entered the week after a prolonged period of decline, amid a lack of strong catalysts to restore risk appetite, particularly following the stall of the CLARITY Act bill in the U.S. Senate before the August legislative recess, which left the crypto market vulnerable to sharp volatility.
Gold and Bitcoin-linked ETFs attracted a record $7 billion in inflows over the last five trading sessions, reflecting an institutional trend toward hedging against a weakening U.S. dollar.
