My Tenure and My Path... For the First Time in Kuwait

The outdoor stage at Al-Shahid Park will host two consecutive concert events next October, featuring Egyptian artist Tolyet and Lebanese-Canadian artist Masary, marking their debut performances on Kuwaiti stages.

Producer Hamad Al-Marzouq explained that the selection of these artists aligns with a vision aimed at offering diverse artistic experiences and attracting names with broad popularity, whose performances Kuwaiti audiences have not previously experienced on local stages.

In a statement to "Al-Rai," Al-Marzouq noted that "Tolyet will meet his audience on October 8, while Masary will perform on October 9. Both concerts are produced and organized by Hits Production." He added that the decision to hold the concerts on two consecutive days was made to offer two completely different nights in terms of musical style and audience demographics, while ensuring that the artistic and organizational standards befit the audience.

He further stated, "I do not hide the fact that the audience was one of the main reasons encouraging us to attract them. The Kuwaiti audience is known for its diverse musical taste and its engagement with artists from various schools and genres. At the same time, they have a constant passion for watching new names and experiences on Kuwaiti stages."

He continued, "From this perspective, I emphasize that their selection was not random, as each artist represents a distinct artistic case and has a large fan base. Our goal is to present two experiences over two days, each with its own unique identity, so that the audience does not feel they are attending a repetitive event, but rather two entirely different nights."

Speaking further, Al-Marzouq pointed out that "Masary has a well-known career and presence on the global music scene, having released works over the years that achieved widespread popularity. Meanwhile, Tolyet has managed to carve out a distinctive artistic identity in a short period and secure a prominent place among the most notable young artists, particularly among the new generation."

Regarding the risks involved in taking such a step, he clarified, "Attracting an artist to sing in Kuwait for the first time carries significant responsibility. We must ensure that their first concert experience in the country is memorable for both the artist and their fans. Therefore, we are keen to make this experience exceptional from the moment the audience enters until the end of the concert."

When asked about the choice of the outdoor stage at Al-Shahid Park as the venue, he explained, "The location boasts a unique atmosphere that suits the nature of these concerts. We are working on delivering a comprehensive experience in both artistic and organizational aspects, commensurate with the importance of the event and the high public anticipation for them."

Regarding future plans, Al-Marzouq confirmed that efforts to attract diverse artistic names and experiences will continue, while maintaining standards of stardom, popularity, and experience quality. He added, "Our ambition goes beyond merely hosting a successful concert. We want Kuwait to become a key destination for the most important artists and musical experiences in the region, and to offer the audience something different each time that is worth experiencing and remembering. Kuwait has an exceptional audience, and the success of any artistic endeavor begins with respecting this audience and offering what befits their taste.
