“Production Market”... Linking Content Creators with Buyers and Producers

The Saudi Media Forum announced via its X account the launch of the “Production Market” initiative, describing it as a specialized business platform aimed at enhancing the economic value of media content by connecting content creators with buyers, major producers, and decision-makers in the media sector locally, regionally, and internationally. The event will take place from February 1 to 3 in Riyadh, as part of the accompanying “FOMEX” exhibition during the Forum Days.

The market enables the presentation of ready-to-distribute content, broadcast rights, projects under development, and co-production opportunities. It also facilitates the conversion of meetings and opportunities into actual deals and partnerships through a dedicated buyer program and pre-scheduled business meetings.

Speaking to the press, Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Harthi, President of the Saudi Media Forum, stated, “Today, the Kingdom is the largest content market in the region in terms of production and demand, so it is only natural that it hosts the market where its deals are concluded. We are starting with an inaugural edition that prioritizes the quality of buyers over the number of participants, to establish a model whose impact will expand year after year.”

The market contributes to consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a growing hub for content production in the region and enhancing its ability to attract media projects and investments, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop creative industries and build a diversified, knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
