Barakola on his way to Al-Riyadh

The transfer of Paris Saint-Germain striker Bradley Barcola to English club Liverpool is “moving in the right direction,” according to sources familiar with the negotiations on Thursday. If completed, it would become the most expensive transfer for a player leaving the French football league.

According to several media outlets, the 23-year-old French international, who has earned 28 caps and scored six goals for his national team and delivered a successful World Cup campaign with three goals, has already reached a contractual agreement with the Reds.

Reports indicate an agreement between the two clubs for approximately 140 million euros (around 163 million dollars), which would make it the highest-value transfer in the history of the French league in terms of players moving abroad.

Meanwhile, English club Nottingham Forest spent a record sum in its history, estimated at 45 million pounds (61 million dollars), to sign Chelsea striker Liam Delap, who was left out of the technical plans at the London club under his new Spanish coach, Xabi Alonso.

The 23-year-old player signed a five-year contract at the City Ground, after failing to establish himself during one season with Chelsea.
