Al-Ahli hosts Zed... Tonight

Al Ahly are aiming for a second consecutive victory when they host ZED at 8:00 PM on Friday, in the final match of the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.

The injury suffered by Imam Ashour during his participation with the Egyptian national team at the 2026 World Cup deprived him of featuring in Al Ahly’s friendly matches during the preparation period, as well as causing him to miss the opening round of the league.

Imam Ashour received a significant morale boost after Al Ahly officially announced the extension of his contract, keeping him with the club until the summer of 2030.

Other matches taking place today include Enppi versus Wadi Degla, Al Gaish versus El Gouna, and Al Ittihad Alexandria versus Ceramica Cleopatra.

Zamalek secured their first league win on Wednesday, within the second round, by defeating Al Ahly Bank 3-0.

With this result, Zamalek moved up to four points, overcoming the goalless draw with Al Ittihad Alexandria in the opening round, while Al Ahly Bank remained winless after losing their second consecutive match and continuing their difficult start to the season.
