Al-Mushaan: Unifying Islamic efforts and stances to defend the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem

Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Hamad Al-Mushaan stressed the importance of the full implementation of the comprehensive peace plan for the Gaza Strip, in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, reiterating Kuwait’s condemnation of settlement activities and attacks by extremist settlers, and its rejection of all measures aimed at altering the historical and legal status quo in the city of Jerusalem, while calling for the unification of Islamic efforts and positions in defense of the Palestinian cause and Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
This came during Ambassador Al-Mushaan’s participation on Thursday in the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, held at the OIC Secretariat General headquarters in Jeddah.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, conveyed Ambassador Al-Mushaan’s reaffirmation, in Kuwait’s speech before the session, of his country’s historical, principled, and steadfast position on the Palestinian cause, and its support for the right of the fraternal Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Ministry noted that the meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and discussed ways to enhance and develop them in various fields.
