6,545 Students... Their Summer of Learning and Play
In line with the directives of Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabatabai, and as part of efforts to enhance student readiness for the 2026–2027 academic year and to optimally utilize the summer holiday period, the Ministry of Education has concluded its Educational Cultural Clubs programs, which were implemented during the summer break. These programs aimed to support academic achievement, strengthen fundamental skills and concepts among learners, consolidate their educational gains, address areas of weakness, and prepare them for their upcoming grade levels with a higher degree of readiness.
The Ministry of Education clarified that the Educational Cultural Clubs programs benefited 6,554 male and female students, from the first grade of primary school through the ninth grade, across 12 Educational Cultural Centers distributed among the six educational regions. A total of 338 members of the teaching and administrative staff participated in implementing and organizing the programs, contributing to providing an organized and supportive educational environment for students during the summer holiday.
The Ministry noted that the centers offered free foundational programs in Arabic, English, and Mathematics, according to educational plans prepared under the supervision of Educational Guidance Departments. These programs focused on reviewing and reinforcing the fundamental concepts and skills that students had acquired in their previous academic stages, thereby helping to consolidate their educational gains, address areas of weakness, and enhance their preparedness for the new academic year.
It was further highlighted that the implementation of the Educational Cultural Clubs was integrated with school summer clubs and held at the same centers, allowing students to combine learning with play and engage in diverse hobbies and activities. This approach enabled students to derive comprehensive educational and recreational benefits from the summer holiday in an attractive environment that encourages participation and interaction.
The Ministry emphasized that the Educational Cultural Clubs experience received praise from parents, who appreciated the opportunity to positively utilize the summer holiday to review and strengthen their children’s academic skills, alongside providing them with the chance to participate in various activities and hobbies in an engaging educational environment. This contributed to preparing them to return to school with greater readiness and confidence.
