Saudi Tadawul and Nasser launch a package of enhancements for financial derivatives

The improvements came into effect on August 19, 2026, and included restructuring the market-making framework, reducing trading, clearing, and regulatory fees, while granting a full exemption from trading fees for futures contracts and settlement fees for one year.

The amendments also involved developing specifications for single-stock futures contracts, including updates to the pricing mechanism alongside enhancements to margin mechanisms to ensure efficient capital utilization. A margin calculator was made available on the clearing house’s website to enable members to understand and calculate margin requirements for all listed derivative products.

As part of this phase, Saudi Exchange signed agreements with Al Ahli Capital on behalf of several market makers to support liquidity provision in futures contracts.

The participating entities include Corvus, Binevenagh, BLS Futures Ltd, Eighteen Eight Solutions, and MET Traders. Market-making activities commenced in August 2026 to support the initial phase of liquidity provision in the market.
