Warba Strengthens Awareness with Wafra on the Importance of Rationalizing Electricity and Water Consumption

Worqa Bank announced its participation as a strategic partner in the national “Save” campaign launched by the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, aiming to raise community awareness about the importance of conserving electricity and water, and to support national efforts to alleviate electrical loads and preserve resources.

This partnership aligns with Worqa’s commitment to continuing its active role in corporate social responsibility and sustainability, contributing to national initiatives that have a positive and lasting impact on society. The bank operates on the belief that resource conservation is a shared responsibility requiring the collaboration of various entities, institutions, and members of the community.

Worqa’s contribution involves sponsoring and producing four educational video clips in collaboration with a specialized media company for advertising content production. These clips will be published via social media platforms and the media channels of both the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy and Worqa Bank, alongside participation from several influencers, the programs “Diwaniyah Mahfooz” and “Rukan,” and the “360 FM” station.

The clips were prepared in a simplified, relatable social style, helping to convey practical, actionable messages for daily life and encouraging community members to adopt more conscious behaviors in electricity and water consumption, thereby reducing waste.

The clips cover several daily practices that can contribute to lowering consumption, most notably optimizing the use of air conditioners, especially in unused rooms, as well as raising awareness about the importance of adjusting air conditioner temperatures to help reduce electricity usage.

The campaign also highlights the importance of minimizing excessive water waste in home gardens, using water heaters more efficiently, and providing practical guidance to help community members turn conservation into a sustainable daily practice.

In this regard, Dr. Muhammad Barakat, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Group at Worqa, stated that the bank’s participation in the national “Save” campaign stems from its belief in the importance of partnering with government entities to support initiatives that directly impact people’s lives.

He added that conserving electricity and water is not the responsibility of a single entity, but a shared one requiring cooperation among government and private institutions, society, and individuals. He noted that Worqa strives, through its programs and community initiatives, to support national efforts that contribute to building a more conscious and sustainable society.

Barakat clarified that the campaign stands out for its focus on daily behaviors and delivering simple, practical messages that the public can easily apply, emphasizing that raising awareness is a fundamental step in creating positive and sustainable changes in consumption patterns.

He pointed out that producing four educational clips in a relatable social style, and leveraging social media, traditional media, and influencers, reflects Worqa Bank’s dedication to reaching various segments of society and delivering educational messages in an impactful and simplified manner.

The partnership aligns with Worqa’s values of corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and reflects its commitment to enhancing cooperation with government entities and contributing to national initiatives that have a positive impact on society and resources.

The campaign comes at a time when the importance of conserving consumption and raising awareness about practices that help alleviate electrical loads is growing, with community awareness representing one of the key pillars supporting national efforts in this field.

“Warba” emphasizes that achieving tangible results in rationalizing electricity and water consumption begins with simple daily behaviors, whether through the responsible use of air conditioning units, avoiding water waste, or the prudent use of water heaters, among other practices that, with consistency, can evolve into a deeply rooted societal culture.

Through this partnership, Warba reaffirms its commitment to its role in corporate social responsibility and continues to support national initiatives that contribute to raising public awareness and preserving resources, in line with its sustainability goals and community service orientation.

Warba’s participation in the “Save” campaign underscores that conserving electricity and water is a shared responsibility, and that every individual and institution has a role to play in supporting national efforts and contributing to building a more sustainable future for coming generations.
