Sisi to Egyptians: The state is vigilant with all its agencies regarding everything related to our national security

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi affirmed that “the Egyptian Armed Forces are fully prepared and ready to defend the country and its resources with distinction against any external threat.”
Speaking during the celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday, held at the Safwa Center for International Conferences at the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Capital on Wednesday, el-Sisi said that the occasion of the birth of our Master Muhammad (peace be upon him) “is not merely a commemoration of the birth of the best of mankind, but rather a recollection of the lights and legacy of the Noble Prophet, whom God sent to the entire world with an inspiring message that changed the course of history, and brought humanity out of darkness, ignorance, and pre-Islamic ignorance into the light of guidance and enlightenment. Divine praise for the possessor of noble character came in the most honorable testimony of a human soul on earth: ‘And indeed, you are of a great moral character.’”
In a message of reassurance to Egyptians, el-Sisi said, “Allow me, on this blessed occasion of our gathering, to reassure you once again regarding the vigilance of the Egyptian state and all its apparatus concerning matters related to our national security. I affirm that we are exerting our utmost efforts to advance and develop the state in all fields, and we are striving diligently and sincerely to improve the living conditions of citizens.”
He added, “I closely monitor, directly and continuously, the levels of combat readiness and field competence. My concern is not limited to our military institution, but extends to other state affairs; to improve conditions and provide radical solutions to accumulated and inherited problems over the decades.”
El-Sisi continued, “I direct the government, first, to prepare a comprehensive report on actual achievements in all state sectors in recent years and present it to citizens next October. Second, to ensure continuous and close follow-up on the respect for contracts concluded with citizens regarding real estate projects, and to avoid delays in delivering units. Third, I direct the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy to exercise direct and meticulous supervision over electricity bills, avoiding arbitrary estimates. Fourth, I reiterate the directive to the government and the Minister of Supply to stabilize markets. Fifth, I emphasize the directives issued to the Minister of Transport to complete all public transport projects. Sixth, I reaffirm my previous directives to the Ministry of Local Development and governors to conduct field follow-up, open channels for direct communication with citizens, receive complaints and inquiries, and explain facts to them. Seventh, I stress that every official in their position must enforce the rule of law with utmost decisiveness; there is no place among us for corrupt individuals, nor for showing leniency to those who manipulate the people’s rights or tamper with the resources of this great nation.”
On another note, Chinese President Xi Jinping is heading to Kyrgyzstan on Sunday to participate in a regional summit, after which he will visit Egypt, according to a statement issued by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
The statement clarified that the Chinese president will participate during his trip, which runs until September 3, in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek, which includes Russia and Iran. This will be followed by a state visit to Egypt.
The Egyptian presidency confirmed in a statement that Xi will visit Egypt in the coming days and will meet President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi “to discuss ways to enhance the strategic partnership relations between the two countries.” The two presidents will also discuss “a number of regional and international issues.”
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian affirmed that the talks in Egypt aim to “make a positive contribution to safeguarding peace and stability in the region,” according to AFP. He noted that Xi’s visit is the first to Egypt in a decade and “carries special significance for the development of bilateral relations.” This is the Chinese president’s second overseas trip this year, following his visit to North Korea last June.
Meanwhile, the official gazette published President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s ratification of the law “on the Basic Statute of the Military Technical College,” which comes in the context of keeping pace with rapid developments in modern education systems and upgrading the study system and academic programs at the Military Technical College, in line with global changes in the fields of education, engineering, and technology.
On another front, Egypt welcomed Washington’s decision to remove Syria from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, describing it as “a step that contributes to supporting efforts to achieve stability in Syria and creating favorable conditions for its return to playing its role in its Arab and international environment.” It reaffirmed “continuing support for the brotherly Syrian people, in a manner that enables the Syrian state to restore its stability, strengthen its national institutions, and preserve Syria’s unity, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.”
In a separate development, a security source denied claims circulated on social media by a page affiliated with the banned Muslim Brotherhood, alleging that relatives of inmates at Arqaab Prison were being denied medication. The source clarified that “these lies have no basis in fact, as Arqaab Prison was demolished several years ago, which demonstrates the Muslim Brotherhood’s habitual practice of fabricating lies, distorting facts, and spreading rumors.”
