Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa Trading Company has issued its 2025 Sustainability Report, released for the third consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to responsible business practices, enhancing transparency, and creating long-term sustainable value.
The report outlines the company’s key efforts and progress in sustainability across four main pillars: workplace sustainability, community responsibility, responsible governance, and environmental sustainability. It highlights initiatives aimed at improving institutional performance and strengthening the company’s positive impact. The report was prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards 2021.
Faisal Al-Mutawa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated: “As we continue our journey, we will keep strengthening our sustainability practices while maintaining our focus on operational excellence and responsible growth. By integrating sustainability into how we manage our employees, resources, and relationships, we aim to deliver sustainable value to all stakeholders and contribute positively to the communities in which we operate.”
In its efforts to enhance workplace sustainability, the company continued to foster a culture of quality and operational excellence, achieving a 94% compliance rate with food safety standards and brand requirements, while maintaining adherence to international quality standards, including ISO 9001:2015 certification. These efforts positively impacted customer experience, with the company scoring 4.21 out of 5 on the Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) index, alongside a customer service satisfaction rate exceeding 76%.
Regarding community responsibility, the company continued to invest in human capital development, recording 5.069 million training hours in 2025, an 85% increase compared to the previous period. The proportion of employees receiving regular performance and professional development evaluations rose by 15%, while the staff turnover rate decreased by 25%, reflecting the company’s efforts to provide a supportive and stable work environment. Additionally, the company invested 1.7 million Kuwaiti dinars in community initiatives and programs that supported various social, educational, and humanitarian causes in Kuwait.
The company also continued to strengthen corporate governance, with women’s representation on the Board of Directors reaching 44%. No significant compliance violations or customer data breaches were recorded, underscoring the strength of its governance frameworks and commitment to responsible business practices.
In its efforts to improve environmental performance, the company recorded reductions in several key emission sources, including a 28.69% decrease in vehicle fuel consumption, an 18.76% reduction in facility fuel consumption, and a 16.37% drop in business travel emissions, reflecting its ongoing efforts to minimize its environmental footprint. Furthermore, recycling initiatives contributed to a reduction of 146 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, supporting resource efficiency and sustainability practices.
