Al-Saudi participates in the CONCACAF Cup

Riyadh (AFP) – The senior Saudi Arabia national football team will participate in the 2027 CONCACAF Gold Cup, with the tournament set to kick off next June featuring 16 national teams.
The Saudi Football Federation said in a statement published on its official website that the 2027 edition marks the second consecutive appearance of Al-Akhdar (the Green Falcons) in the competition, following their debut in 2025, when they reached the quarter-finals.
Under the guidance of their Greek coach Yorgos Donis, the Green Falcons were eliminated from the group stage of the North American World Cup, having collected two points from matches against Uruguay (1-1) and Cape Verde (0-0), and suffering a painful 4-0 defeat to Spain.
