Arrests and Wanted Individuals: Results of Security Crackdown in the Capital; Restaurant Closure

The Directorate of Security Affairs, represented by the Capital Governorate Security Directorate, carried out an extensive security campaign covering several areas of the governorate, in coordination with the Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition. The operation resulted in the arrest of several wanted individuals and law violators, the impoundment of vehicles, and the issuance of traffic violations.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the detailed statistics included the arrest of 187 individuals in criminal cases, absconding cases, and violations of the residency and labor laws, as well as wanted persons; 23 individuals under judicial detention; and four individuals whose visas had expired.

Three street vendors, one person in an abnormal state, two individuals involved in begging cases, and four individuals without final identification documents were also apprehended.

The operation also included impounding 10 motorcycles at the traffic garage, issuing 445 traffic violations, removing 19 abandoned vehicles in cooperation with the Kuwait Municipality, and closing one restaurant in coordination with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.
