Justice Ministry Employees Whose Nationality Has Been Revoked... Contracts for One and Two Years

The Ministry of Justice has organized the continued employment of staff whose citizenship was revoked, through a contractual mechanism covering four categories, with contracts lasting between one and two years and renewable according to specific regulations. Those covered have been given a one-month deadline to visit the Administrative Affairs Department and complete the necessary procedures.

The ministry clarified that the contract duration for female employees in the “Article Eight” category is two years, while the contract duration for the other categories covered by the agreement is one year, with annual renewal. Renewal procedures must be completed at least one month before the contract expires. As for the category of children of Kuwaiti women, they will be hired immediately upon receipt of the contract form from the competent authorities, and their continued employment will be in accordance with the Council of Ministers’ circular on the matter.

Under this mechanism, all ministry employees against whom citizenship revocation decrees have been issued must visit the Administrative Affairs Department within a maximum period of one month.
