The Ministry of Commerce holds a training course for its staff

In the context of its ongoing efforts to enhance institutional performance and develop the work environment, Al-Tijariyah Real Estate Company organized a specialized training course titled “Regulating the Conduct of Insiders in Securities Transactions” at its headquarters, through its Development and Learning Department and in coordination with the Compliance and Governance Department. The course was part of the tenth axis, “Disclosure and Transparency,” of the Executive Regulations of the Capital Markets Authority, reflecting the company’s continuous commitment to developing its human resources to apply best professional practices in accordance with the regulatory directives issued by the Capital Markets Authority.
The course was delivered by Mansour Kamal, Director of the Compliance and Governance Department, and Jaber Ma’arfi, Compliance and Governance Officer, who presented the key topics and recent updates on relevant decisions and circulars, particularly focusing on the role of insiders in accurately and timely disclosing their transactions. This was explained through a detailed walkthrough of the electronic disclosure system used by the Capital Markets Authority.
The course also reviewed the obligations of insiders to refrain from trading in the listed company during permitted periods, avoid trading during blackout periods, and make required disclosures before and after transactions in the company’s shares. Emphasis was placed on the importance of safeguarding the company’s inside information and outlining the measures and procedures the company has implemented to ensure the strict confidentiality of inside information, thereby avoiding penalties for the misuse of inside information as stipulated by the Authority.
Al-Tijariyah is among the first companies in Kuwait to adopt and implement the concept of corporate governance according to a well-structured and comprehensive methodology aligned with the best standards and practices in this field.
