Three Americans in Kuwait's Basket

Al-Kuwait Club has signed three American professionals to bolster its senior men’s basketball team ahead of the upcoming local and international competitions.

These reinforcements come as preparation for “Al-Abyad” (The Whites) to participate in the Asian “Final Eight” championship, which will be hosted by Lebanon’s Al-Hakam Club from September 25 to October 1.

The tournament was postponed from its previously announced date in June due to the situation in the region.

The “Al-Amid” (The Dean), champions of last season’s league, are expected to join a training camp next month, following the departure of their players who participated with the Kuwait national team in the Asian Cup qualifiers, held in the UAE from the 26th to the 31st of this month. Preparations for Al-Kuwait’s new season have already begun under the guidance of their Serbian coach, Dusan Stojkovic.

Meanwhile, the Qadsia Club basketball team is currently holding a training camp in Cairo in preparation for the Arab Championship, which will take place in Alexandria from September 3 to 12. The team will play several exhibition matches ahead of the tournament.
