The agreement holds special significance as it is the first of its kind in Al-Qadsiah Club’s history, featuring a sponsorship deal with a single partner for three years. This reflects the mutual trust between both parties and marks a transition from seasonal sponsorship to a long-term national partnership based on a shared vision to support Kuwaiti sports, youth, and the club’s fans.
The partnership agreement was signed on Sunday morning at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center – Conference Hall, during a large press conference where the deal was announced. The event was attended by representatives from Jazeera Airways and Al-Qadsiah Club, as well as coaches and players from the first team.
Jazeera’s sponsorship of Al-Qadsiah stems from the company’s belief in its national and social responsibility, and in the role sports play in uniting Kuwaitis and fostering a sense of belonging and connectivity, particularly among youth. It also reflects support for sports institutions that represent the country and elevate its name at local and international forums.
The three-year commitment reflects a vision that extends beyond immediate support to contribute to creating a more stable sports environment. This provides the club with broader scope for planning, developing initiatives, and strengthening ties with its fans, while highlighting the role the Kuwaiti private sector can play in supporting clubs and contributing to the development of national sports.
The partnership slogan, “The Journey Continues... Wings Carrying a Nation,” embodies the convergence of two prominent Kuwaiti brands: Jazeera Airways, which carries Kuwait’s name to various destinations worldwide, and Al-Qadsiah Club, which represents a rich sporting history and a national heritage forged by generations of champions and fans.
The choice of Al-Qadsiah is a natural extension of this direction, given the club’s national value, historical status, and wide fan base, as well as the achievements, titles, and enduring memories associated with its name in the hearts of Kuwaitis. Through this partnership, Jazeera accompanies “Al-Malaki” (The Royal) on a new journey defined by sustainability, ambition, and the pursuit of further titles and achievements.
By continuing as the main sponsor and official carrier of Al-Qadsiah, Jazeera Airways reaffirms that supporting Kuwaiti sports is an integral part of its commitment to society, and that its partnership with “Al-Malaki” constitutes an investment in a national institution that carries the legacy of Kuwaiti sports and the aspirations of future generations.
On this occasion, Al-Qadsiah Sports Club Board Member Mohammed Reza Maarefi expressed his pride in the partnership, stating that it strengthens the concept of sustainability in the sports sector.
Maarefi thanked the Al-Qadsiah Club marketing team for their efforts and cumulative work over the years, noting that the results of this work are gradually becoming evident at the club. He highlighted the club’s partnerships with various sectors, particularly the private sector, which is crucial and a partner in many state institutions.
Maarfi stated, “Today, these partnerships and trust in this sector are strengthening, and praise be to God. We at Qadsia Club are considered the locomotive leading sports marketing in Kuwait, reflecting this impact on many sports institutions in the country. Thank you all.”
He continued, “The result of this work and cooperation between Qadsia Club and the private sector was evident today in the continuation of our partnership with Jazeera Airways and its extension for three years.” He noted that “this development is heartwarming and reflects the confidence of a major company and an important airline, one of the leading airlines in Kuwait and the region, in Qadsia Club. This extension and partnership come after a year-long trial period.”
Maarfi highlighted the club’s ambitions and determination to reach new heights, saying, “As we promised before, God willing, our work will proceed at an accelerating pace. God willing, we will achieve what we aspire to, and our fans will be treated in a manner befitting Qadsia Club and a company like Jazeera Airways.”
Maarfi emphasized that “this partnership strengthens the concept of sustainability in the sports sector.” He added, “The next three years give us a greater opportunity and scope to work. We assure everyone, especially Qadsia Club’s fans, that the club will present itself better, God willing, not only on the sporting level but also on the institutional level.”
Maarfi appreciated “the great confidence Jazeera Airways has shown us in this extension. God willing, we will continue soaring with Jazeera Airways to higher horizons this season, God willing.”
Basapathy said, “Today marks a truly significant milestone. Jazeera Airways is proud to renew its partnership with Qadsia Football Club for another three years, marking the beginning of a new chapter in a distinguished partnership that unites a Kuwaiti airline with one of Kuwait’s oldest, most prestigious, and celebrated football clubs.”
He added, “Qadsia represents a legacy built on determination, resilience, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of excellence—values that align closely with those we uphold at Jazeera Airways.”
Al-Obeid said, “Today is a special moment for Jazeera Airways. We met in this very place exactly one year ago, on September 9, 2025, to sign the partnership and sponsorship agreement with Qadsia Club. After a year, and having proven the partnership’s success for both parties, we return.”
He continued, “Last year, we began our journey with Qadsia as the main sponsor and official airline partner. Today, we take this relationship further through our commitment for three years and our steadfast support for one of Kuwait’s oldest and most prestigious sports institutions.”
He added, “We are proud once again that Jazeera Airways is the first to sign a three-year sponsorship agreement with Qadsia Club.” He emphasized that “the partnership between Qadsia Club and Jazeera Airways goes beyond sponsorship; it is a bond between two Kuwaiti institutions that share values, a warrior spirit, and authentic Kuwaiti identity.”
Al-Obeid explained that “supporting youth and sports is part of our identity. The ‘Meet & Greet’ program launched last week in collaboration with Kuwaiti universities to attract outstanding graduates for the company’s Future Leaders program is evidence of this.”
He noted that extending a partnership is among the most challenging endeavors, requiring aligned objectives. “Praise be to God, there is a unification of goals between us and Qadsia, which has led us to extend the partnership for the next three years.”
Al-Obeid stated in his speech: “Regarding the spirit of the warrior, you are well aware of the difficulties faced by the aviation sector due to geopolitical circumstances, which resulted in the closure of airports for 57 days.” He noted that “despite this, Jazeera Airways did not give up; it continued operations and maintained connections between Kuwait and the outside world through the Burqa project and at airports in the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, transporting over 200,000 passengers.”
He affirmed: “This spirit that we embody on both sides is what unites Al-Qadsiah and Jazeera.”
On the sidelines of the conference, Al-Obeid responded to a question regarding the benefits Jazeera offers to Al-Qadsiah Club, beyond financial support, clarifying that “the partnership is not limited to financial aid; it extends far beyond that.”
He added: “For us, as an aviation sector, our priority is presence, logistical support, media support, in addition to financial backing. As for Al-Qadsiah Club, we are very pleased with our partnership with them and proud to be associated with a historic club like Al-Qadsiah, which boasts a large fanbase. God willing, in the coming period, we will make specific arrangements with the supporters’ association, granting special privileges to Al-Qadsiah Club members through Jazeera Airways, God willing.”
The president of the Al-Qadsiah Club Supporters’ Association, Haitham Al-Sanai, and his fellow association members made a point of attending the contract renewal ceremony, adding an enthusiastic atmosphere with the launch of cheering scarves, which were well-received by attendees.
Al-Sanai also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all supporters of Al-Qadsiah Club, emphasizing that this support will contribute to achieving new accomplishments in the upcoming season.
Moroccan professional Hamza Khaba mentioned that he and his teammates are ready for league competitions, noting that they prepared well during their overseas training camp, where they played friendly matches against several clubs.
He added that he aims to deliver a level of performance befitting the reputation of Al-Qadsiah Club and its fans, and is not focusing on becoming the league’s top scorer; rather, his goal is to win the first three rounds of the competition.
Concluding his remarks, he said: “We will strive to achieve a new milestone with Jazeera Airways. I thank the loyal yellow fans who have supported and encouraged me since I joined the team.”
Al-Qadsiah photographer Mohammed Al-Sanousi explained that his love for Al-Qadsiah Club helped nurture his photography hobby, as he made it a point to attend the first football team’s training sessions to capture images of players who supported and cheered him on.
Al-Sanousi noted that he possesses many distinctive photos with beautiful memories, most notably those of star player Bader Al-Mutawa’s goals, which contributed to the team’s victories in international and local tournaments.
In conclusion, Al-Sanousi thanked everyone who supported him in the past, reaffirming his commitment to continue his journey with Al-Qadsiah Club.
The management of the Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center deserves praise and appreciation for their efforts and professional organization of the press conference held in the conference hall, which contributed to its smooth and elegant execution, reflecting the spirit of teamwork within this cultural landmark.
