Kuwait United Wins Three-Year Contract with the Disabled
In a move to strengthen its presence in Kuwait’s specialized healthcare services sector, Kuwait United Healthcare Services Company (KUHS), the first subsidiary of United Facilities Management Company (UFM), won tender number (6-2024/2025) for the inmate care services for persons with disabilities provided by the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities. The contract spans three years, with implementation commencing on October 1, 2026.
In a press statement, United Facilities Management Company, a subsidiary of United Properties Company, stated that awarding the tender to Kuwait United Healthcare Services Company represents a significant step in expanding its operations in the specialized healthcare services sector within the Kuwaiti market. It also reflects confidence in the company’s capabilities and operational capacity to deliver specialized services tailored to the needs of persons with disabilities.
Speaking on this occasion, Ibrahim Abdul Latif, General Manager of Kuwait United Healthcare Services Company, said that winning the tender confirms the trust of government entities in the company’s capabilities and operational capacity, and strengthens its presence in the specialized healthcare services sector, particularly in services related to the needs of this important segment of society.
He clarified that the tender holds special significance due to its connection with inmate care services for persons with disabilities at the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities. This gives the contract a humanitarian and social dimension alongside its operational importance, placing the quality of services provided to beneficiaries and their safety at the core of the company’s responsibilities throughout the contract period.
He added that the three-year contract constitutes a significant addition to the company’s operations and supports its strategy to enhance its presence in the specialized healthcare services sector in Kuwait, thereby consolidating its position in this field and expanding its scope of operations in the local market.
Ibrahim Abdul Latif noted that winning the tender from a government entity represented by the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities holds special importance for the company, given the nature of the services covered by the contract and the beneficiary group. He emphasized that the company views this contract as both an operational and social responsibility, requiring the provision of services in accordance with tender requirements and to meet the needs of beneficiaries.
He confirmed that Kuwait United Healthcare Services Company will, upon the commencement of contract implementation, deploy its operational capabilities to execute the tendered works in a manner consistent with their nature and requirements, thereby serving the persons with disabilities who are beneficiaries of these services. He pointed out that the contract supports the company’s plans to enhance its standing in the specialized healthcare services market.
Building on its extensive track record in providing specialized healthcare services, the company offers first aid services at the University of Kuwait in the Sabah Al-Salem University City – Shaddadiya area, as well as home care services for the elderly, children, and newborns, adhering to professional standards that prioritize care quality and beneficiary safety.
The company delivers these services through qualified nursing staff, including nurses and midwives holding accredited nursing qualifications and licensed by the Kuwait Ministry of Health, reflecting its commitment to providing reliable healthcare services that align with established requirements and standards.
