Al-Huwail: Comprehensive National Strategy for Protection from Domestic Violence

Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, and Social Development, chaired on Sunday the second meeting of the National Committee for Protection from Domestic Violence, focusing on the preparation of a comprehensive national strategy and enhancing institutional coordination and rapid response mechanisms to reports and complaints.

Al-Huwail stated that the committee discussed ways to activate the provisions of the decree-law on protection from domestic violence, and the mechanisms for rapid response to reports and complaints, in coordination with relevant authorities, ensuring clear and effective procedures to protect victims and unify legal and social response pathways.

She emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to continuing the development of regulatory frameworks and practical practices, in alignment with societal values and Kuwait’s international obligations, and contributing to strengthening family security and social stability.
