Capital Governor: Practical Solutions to Reduce Traffic Congestion

Kuwait City Governor Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali held a meeting on Sunday with a number of security and traffic officials from the Ministry of Interior to discuss plans and measures aimed at reducing congestion in governorate areas and enhancing road safety, thereby contributing to smoother traffic flow and improving the efficiency of services provided to citizens and residents.

The meeting reviewed the traffic situation in the governorate, mechanisms for addressing bottlenecks on certain roads and intersections, field preparations during peak hours, as well as the rapid response to accidents, broken-down vehicles, and any obstacles affecting traffic flow.

The governor emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the governorate and the Ministry of Interior, increasing the field presence of traffic police, and leveraging modern technologies and smart systems to monitor and address congestion hotspots, while implementing practical and sustainable solutions tailored to the governorate’s population and urban density.

He stressed the need to continue monitoring traffic issues in coordination with relevant authorities, aiming to achieve tangible results that contribute to a safer and smoother traffic environment and enhance the quality of life across all areas of the governorate.
