Heavy rains injure 7 people in Spain

AFP - At least seven people were injured in northeastern Spain following heavy rains that also caused street flooding and trapped several citizens in their vehicles, officials said on Saturday.
Emergency services reported that three people were injured after a wall collapsed at the Port de la Selva in Roda de Berà, located about 75 kilometers southwest of Barcelona.
Four others were hospitalized after separate incidents, including two who were injured when another wall collapsed during a nighttime storm at a campsite in Roda de Berà.
Officials confirmed the evacuation of approximately 300 people from the campsite, with around 100 of them taking shelter in a municipal sports center.
Inma Solé, deputy director of emergency services coordination in the region, told Spanish state television that firefighters carried out more than 200 operations, including rescuing people trapped in their vehicles and evacuating buildings inundated by floodwaters.
