Macron: We will send new interceptor missiles to Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his “shock” and “sadness” on Saturday following the latest Russian strikes that targeted a shopping mall in Ukraine, announcing that he would send new interceptor missiles “to provide Ukraine with all the means necessary to defend its airspace.”
Macron, who spoke with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stressed the need for “all countries with similar resources to join these support efforts,” as Ukraine faces a shortage of interceptor missiles amid daily Russian ballistic missile attacks.
In this context, the coalition of the willing, comprising countries supporting Kyiv, will meet on Monday afternoon under a joint leadership of Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and for the first time, with the new British Prime Minister, Andy Burnham.
