European Commission: Israel's decision to launch tenders for the "E1" settlement project is unacceptable

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen joined European countries on Friday in condemning Israel’s decision to issue tenders for the construction of a settlement project known as E-1 in the occupied West Bank.

In a post on the X platform, she said, “The Israeli government’s decision to issue construction tenders for the E-1 settlement project is unacceptable... We have long objected to this step.”
