Interior Ministry: Three suspects arrested with drugs, psychoactive substances, and alcoholic beverages

- Investigations uncovered financial proceeds and valuable assets derived from trafficking proceeds, including 7 kilograms of gold.

The General Directorate for Combating Narcotics, following intensive surveillance and investigative operations, managed to apprehend three suspects in possession of quantities of narcotics, psychoactive substances, and alcoholic beverages intended for trafficking and personal use.

A statement from the Ministry of Interior indicated that “investigations revealed that the suspects concealed and disguised the proceeds of their illegal activities, converting a portion of the revenues from trafficking in psychoactive substances and alcoholic beverages into high-value assets, including precious watches and gold, alongside holding cash proceeds from sales.”

It added: “The operations resulted in the seizure of the following items: 120 Lariqa capsules, 150 grams of Lariqa powder, 60 psychoactive tablets, 3 bottles of alcoholic beverages, 40,000 Kuwaiti Dinars in proceeds from the sale of psychoactive substances and alcoholic beverages, 4 precious watches valued at 50,000 Kuwaiti Dinars, obtained through the sale of psychoactive substances and alcoholic beverages, 7 kilograms of gold valued at approximately 311,000 Kuwaiti Dinars, obtained through the sale of psychoactive substances and alcoholic beverages, and a sensitive scale.”
