President of the International Criminal Court warns of the "disappearance of the rule of international law" after US sanctions

Tomoko Akane, the Japanese president of the International Criminal Court, warned today of the “disappearance of the rule of international law” following the imposition of U.S. sanctions against her.

In a statement published by Bungei Shunshu on the X platform, Akane said, “I somewhat expected the sanction imposed on me this time, so I was not surprised.”
