"Najat": Preparation of 50 educational tents to teach 2,500 children in Gaza

Jassim Al-Ansari, Director of the Contact Center at Al-Najah Charity Association, affirmed that the association places the education file among its top priorities, driven by its belief that knowledge is one of the most important tools for building human capital and shaping the future. He emphasized that the association seeks, through its educational projects, to combat ignorance and illiteracy and to spread the light of knowledge, particularly in communities suffering from crises and disasters.
Al-Ansari stated that the destruction caused by the war in the Gaza Strip has affected a large number of schools, depriving thousands of children of the opportunity to continue their education. He noted that the project to equip educational tents in the Gaza Strip is a response to these conditions, providing a safe, temporary educational environment that helps students resume their studies until damaged schools are rehabilitated.
He explained that each tent is equipped with basic educational needs, including blackboards and teacher supplies, as well as complete stationery kits for students, along with transportation and on-site setup activities. The project is scheduled to be implemented within four weeks.
Al-Ansari stressed that the project’s impact extends beyond providing educational supplies; it also aims to safeguard children’s right to education, reduce learning loss, and enhance the psychological stability of children amid displacement and war. Additionally, it seeks to alleviate burdens on displaced families and support teachers in fulfilling their mission. For contact and to support the project, individuals can call the Contact Center at 1800082 or visit the association’s social media accounts.
He emphasized that providing a safe educational environment for children protects them from dropping out and ignorance, and gives them space to regain a sense of normalcy in their lives. He affirmed that the pen in the hand of a Gaza child must remain a beacon of hope, regardless of how severe the crises become.
In conclusion, Al-Ansari called on philanthropists and benefactors to support the project, stressing that contributing to the education of Gaza’s children is a genuine investment in their future and a humanitarian message affirming that a child’s right to education is never forfeited, regardless of the circumstances.
